Company Profile:
Our client is a leader in their field, and they are always pushing the boundaries of innovation and strategic support for their valued customers in the critical resources sectors (Gas, Mining, Water & Industrial sectors). Their home of operations is situated in Acacia Ridge which boats an impressive facility where fabrication meets multidisciplinary engineering, electrical & instrumentation, and industrial control systems. They have dedicated field service teams that are regionally based for their specified projects throughout Australia.

Key Role Functions:
Due to continued growth and recent restructuring to complement said growth, they are looking for a strategic Business Development Manager to join the team in a full-time capacity in their Acacia Ridge head office facility. We are looking for a self-starter and go-getter with a passion for relationship management, a polished operator who can work with field staff on a project level or at a corporate senior management level as and when required.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• People orientated – Culture is number 1
• High-level strategic approach to BDM & exceptional proposal writing skills
• Demonstrated experience in business development in an engineering, construction, and maintenance organisation, preferably in the mining and/or O&G sectors.
• Proven ability to create influential relationships with managers, clients, and teams.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, internal systems, and computer literacy as a whole.
• Experience in strategic proposal development or technical writing.
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent networking and relationship-building skills within the industry.
• Solid business understanding and commercial acumen.
• Interpersonal skills – relationship building, collaboration, and influencing.
