Located in regional NSW, this mining operation is a major player in Australia’s resources sector. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Accountant to take the next step in their career. Whether you’re currently working in a similar on-site role or coming from a related heavy industry and keen to break into mining, this role could be the perfect fit.

This is a permanent, site-based position that will require relocation to a nearby regional township — full relocation support is provided.

What to expect:

As part of the on-site Commercial team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Management function across a broad range of responsibilities. These include financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditure oversight, month-end processes, cost analysis, systems and process improvements, and strategic planning.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the operation—from site personnel to senior management—so strong communication skills are essential. A sharp eye for detail, a data-driven mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement will be crucial to your success in this role.

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards)
• 3–5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within an on-site mining environment OR a comparable heavy industry
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with large ERP systems
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Commercially savvy mindset with a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
