Dietetics Clinical Lead – Inpatient Services
Fixed-Term Maternity Leave Cover | Part-Time (45 hours per fortnight)
Based in Hornsby, NSW – North Shore region
Are you an experienced Dietitian ready to take the lead in a supportive and collaborative team environment? A well-regarded private hospital in the North Shore region is seeking a Dietetics Clinical Lead to provide expert support to its inpatient allied health team.
This is a maternity leave cover role through to February 2026, ideal for someone who thrives in leadership, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
The Opportunity
In this part-time position, you'll provide direct patient care and clinical oversight within all ward areas, including inpatients, outpatients, day programs, and NDIS services. You'll also play a key role in supporting team members, refining clinical procedures, and collaborating closely with the Food Services Department to ensure patients receive optimal nutrition support.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide dietetic services across a diverse patient caseload
- Lead and support the dietetics team in clinical practice
- Deliver nutrition education in both group and 1:1 settings
- Contribute to service improvements and care coordination
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
- Experience in a senior or lead dietetics role (desirable)
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to support and mentor team members
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional growth
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and work both independently and within a team
- Membership with Dietitians Australia (desirable)
