Contact Centre Operators – NSW Government

• Location: Newcastle
• Pay Rate: $34.59 per hour + Super
• Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week, rotating roster
• Assignment Length: Anticipated until 31st October 2025
• Non-Negotiable Start Date: Friday 2nd May 2025

Key Accountabilities:

• Handling inbound customer enquiries related to department services
• Providing clear, friendly, and professional support across multiple platforms (phone, email, etc.)
• Navigating internal systems and maintaining accurate customer records
• Working closely with your team leader and subject matter experts during your training and nesting period

What We’re looking For:

• 2-3 years’ customer service experience (call centre, admin, retail)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Outlook & Teams)
• Ability to learn new systems & processes quickly

Important Information:

• Must be based in NSW
• Start date is non-negotiable
• In-person interviews will take place on 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 28th April
• Full-time training is mandatory from 2nd May – approx. 10-12 weeks
• Hybrid work may be considered post-training
