Position Title: Call or Contact Centre Operator
Start: 24/04/2025
Duration: 6-months
Pay Rate: $34.59 per hour plus superannuation
Location: Gosford NSW
Primary Purpose of the Position
To provide front line customer service by responding to incoming enquiries, directing calls, processing complaints, and escalating issues as required. The role ensures accurate and timely information is provided to the public, in accordance with policies and service standards, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
This position will require working on a 7am-7pm rotating roster Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Shifts will be on a 4-week rotating roster.
Essential Criteria:
- 2 - 3 years customer service experience within a call centre, administration or retail.
- Need excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to attend a two-week virtual training program before on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to public inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide accurate information and guidance in line with policies and procedures.
- Direct calls to the appropriate department or personnel when necessary.
- Attempt to resolve issues where possible and escalate complex or unresolved matters to the appropriate team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to improve service delivery.
Desirable Criteria:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Teams
- Strong email etiquette
- Specific software will be taught, though contractors will need to have the ability to pickup systems quickly
- Typing, using a mouse and monitor
- Previous experience working in an office environment is desirable
