Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a strategic and experienced Manager Digital and Technology Services to drive major digital transformation initiatives and lead the delivery of technology services across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager Digital and Technology Services will lead the implementation of Council’s Technology Strategy and digital transformation initiatives, oversee business-as-usual IT operations, lead cybersecurity uplift programs, and support organisational change.

Managing a dedicated team of approximately 30 staff within a Council of around 700 employees, the Manager Digital and Technology Services will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, senior managers, and technology partners to deliver customer-centric, resilient, and innovative ICT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Council’s Technology Blueprint (Blueprint 100) and strategic ICT initiatives.
• Oversee IT service delivery, cybersecurity programs, digital transformation, and infrastructure management.
• Support Council’s strategic transformation through technology innovation and service improvement.
• Strengthen internal ICT governance, data management, and service management practices (ITSM).
• Foster a customer-focused, high-performing technology culture.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading IT, digital, or information management teams within complex, highly governed environments. You will bring proven capability in organisational change management, a track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation projects, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and strategic leadership experience. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field are required.
