This is a permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2025.
Samson Primary School (PS) was officially opened in May 1987. We are located south of the Swan River at the eastern end of the Fremantle area. Adjacent to the Samson Recreation Centre, the school is an aesthetically inviting set of buildings, situated in beautifully kept grounds which feature grass trees, eucalypts, rose gardens and extensive grassed areas.

The Role
Samson PS is seeking to appoint an energetic and motivated individual to fill the role of Gardener – Handyperson to join our team.
As a Gardener – Handyperson you will provide gardening, grounds and facility management support to ensure a safe and clean school environment. The successful applicant will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean and tidy condition and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management.
The successful applicant will perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other Gardener – Handyperson duties in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines. The successful applicant should possess good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to receive and carry out instructions as required. In addition, the Gardener - Handyperson will perform tasks and duties using safe work practices and maintain accurate gardening records.
