My client provides high-quality, confidential medical services including GP consultations, mental health support, immunisations, travel medicine, and more. They are committed to supporting patient wellbeing through professional healthcare delivery.

Currently seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to support their team for a temporary assignment lasting approximately 3 to 4 months.

About the Role

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the Medical Centre by managing front-desk duties and supporting administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinating appointments and managing patient enquiries;

Processing accounts, receipts, and electronic claims;

Handling payments (cash, cheque, EFTPOS) and prepare bank documentation;

Appling knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule and OSHC;

Maintaining patient records and office systems to a high standard;

Providing general administrative support including mail, filing, photocopying, and scanning;

Liaising with management on operational issues; and

Other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will be passionate, motivated and have strong people skills. Proven experience in a medical reception or similar healthcare environment. Proficiency with medical software (PRACSOFT and Medical Director preferred) and confident using Microsoft Office and general IT systems. Sound knowledge of Medicare systems and electronic billing and experienced in handling payments and daily reconciliations.
