Due to the business expanding there is now an exciting opportunity available for an experienced, reliable, and passionate Senior Animal Attendant to join our team.

Working full time Monday – Friday you will do more than just pet sitting—it’s about providing expert care, outstanding customer service with animal welfare being our #1 priority.

About the Role

As a Senior Animal Attendant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of pets while their owners are at work or on holidays. You’ll work independently, traveling to clients’ homes to provide premium in-home pet care.

Key Responsibilities:

Mentor junior staff, educate clients on pet care, and act as Second-in-Command (2IC) within the team.

Travel within the Hills District to care for pets in their homes.

Walk dogs (no more than three small breeds at a time) and ensure proper handling and safety.

Feed, exercise, and engage with pets according to each client’s specific instructions.

Conduct health checks and provide real-time updates to clients.

Maintain a clean, safe environment for pets during visits.

Transport pets locally as required.

Capture photos and videos to share with clients.

Deliver exceptional customer service during every interaction.

Essential Requirements

Willingness to grow within the team and commit to the role for a minimum of 2 years to provide stability for our team and clients.

Full working rights in Australia (no working visas accepted).

Own a car and hold a valid driver’s license.

Currently studying or completed Level III or IV certifications in Companion Animal Services, Animal Behaviour & Training, Veterinary Nursing or something similar

Physically fit and capable of performing active, outdoor tasks.

Reside locally in the Hills District to ensure reliability and minimize travel time.

Willingness and availability to work peak periods such as Christmas and Easter

Skills:

Confident handling dogs up to extra large breeds

Friendly, professional, and able to work independently.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

A genuine love and knowledge of animals, with a commitment to their welfare and happiness.

A minimum 1 years experience as a kennel hand, animal attendant or Vet Nurse
