About the Role

The Client Service Officer plays a vital role supporting NAAJA’s busy civil law practice, working across a broad range of legal issues including:

✔ Police accountability

✔ Child protection

✔ Adult guardianship

✔ Tenancy & social security

✔ Discrimination & consumer law

✔ Victims of crime assistance

You’ll help organise remote legal clinics, travel to communities, support lawyers, liaise with service providers, and act as the first point of contact for clients—making legal services accessible, culturally appropriate, and effective.

What You’ll Bring

✔ Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

✔ Strong communication, admin, and client service skills

✔ Willingness to travel to remote communities and stay overnight

✔ Ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team

✔ Confidence using systems like CMS and managing client data

Requirements

• Manual driver’s licence (C Class)

• Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

• Satisfactory criminal history check

• Availability to travel to remote communities and stay overnight, to attend remote civil law clinics when required.
