About the role

The Senior Assessment Advisor – Renewable Energy role is an exciting new career opportunity for those who are passionate about protecting and enhancing Tasmania’s cultural and natural values and places, facilitating productive and sustainable industries and excited about the future of reliable, sustainable and renewable energy in Tasmania.

These positions will support major renewable energy projects which form part of the Tasmanian Government’s Renewable Energy Coordination Framework which will ensure Tasmania remains globally renowned as a leader in renewable energy.

In this role you will coordinate, provide advice, mitigation strategies and solutions on potential impacts of natural and cultural values for major renewable energy projects, which ensure values are protected, managed, and conserved.

The roles will be based in Launceston or Hobart, there may be a level of travel and field work required for these positions.

Our ideal candidate has
  • Experience in assessing natural values, cultural heritage or similar.
  • High-level organisation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • A Tertiary qualification in a relevant science, natural or culture resource management discipline field.
  • Current motor vehicle drivers’ licence.
