Boomaroo Nurseries’ is a world class seedling producer, supplying over 300 million seedlings to growers across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, and South Australia.

Responsibilities

The Grower QLD will be responsible for growing various mixed crop seedlings including vegetables, fruits and flowers and ensuring that Boomaroo Nurseries can meets its customer’s specification expectations. You will ensure that the Nursery is free of pest and disease, while planning fertigation, spray and water application programs for all products. You will ensure that delivery in full and on time can be achieved.

Skills and Experience Required

Tertiary or higher qualifications in Horticulture, Agronomy, Ag Science, or similar discipline and/or significant experience working in a large horticulture production facility.

Growing experience ideally in a nursery environment.

Understanding of the latest growing trends and best practice.

Strong growing skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to plan and implement growing processes with minimal guidance.

Proven experience working under pressure whilst maintaining sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effectively manage competing priorities and commitments.

Proven ability to communicate effectively.

Strong computer literacy skills (especially Microsoft Office Package – Word, Excel, and Outlook etc).
