Story Fresh is looking for an experienced Senior Vegetable Grower to join their field team at Cambooya, near Toowoomba. This is a permanent, operational position, which includes an on-site 3 bedroom weatherboard home. With vegetable production being a 7 day a week job, regular weekend work will be required.

The farm is located adjacent to Cambooya, a true country village with primary school, post office, store, doctor and pharmacy, churches, mechanical services and a historic pub. Toowoomba and all its facilities, as the centre for the renowned Darling Downs region, is only 18km away. School bus services operate.

Ideally, the skills required for consideration for this long term position include but are not limited to:

land preparation using powered implements ;

setting up and operating tractors to undertake a range of farm duties including ground work, slashing, planting, fertilising and crop incorporation;

experience in operating self propelled spray rigs and a current Chemcert license to do crop spraying activities;

ability to operate crop irrigation systems, in particular solid-set and trickle systems;

able to learn I-phone based systems to operate computer controlled irrigation programs;

competent in operating forklifts.

understands the impact of weather on farm operations and work loads;

shows strong attention to detail and pride in their work, with a focus on getting it right the first time;

can demonstrate experience in vegetable crop production;

has sound tractor operational capabilities; and

is physically fit and
