Salary from $95,477.89 - $106,935.20 pa plus 11.5% superannuation

About the role
This is a great opportunity for an organised and effective communicator, to analyse, assess and report on a diverse range of Development Applications to ensure compliance with relevant policy and legislation. The ideal candidate will be a proficient communicator with the ability to effectively articulate concepts and tailor communication for a variety of stakeholders. Core requirements include acting with integrity, a high degree of analytical skills and organisation, and the ability to deliver quality development assessment outcomes in an efficient and productive manner.
You can also expect to:
Receive a diverse range of development applications including those associated with Bayside Council’s significant industrial, commercial, and high-density residential precincts that are located in proximity to Sydney Airport, Port Botany, and the City of Sydney.
Prepare accurate and comprehensive reports and correspondence on development applications to facilitate timely decision-making and outcomes, and to respond to applicants and community stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver pre-Development Application advice to ensure efficient and informed outcomes.
Prepare Statements of Facts and Contentions and provide expert evidence in order to represent Council in the Land & Environment Court of NSW.
Provide advice to applicants and the local community on development assessment and associated matters.
Prepare reports for, and represent Council at, the Design Review Panel (DRP).
Attend Bayside Local Planning Panel meetings to present and respond to enquiries regarding development applications and recommendations. Participate in stakeholder engagement activities to understand and meet the needs of the local community
About you
We are looking for a someone who demonstrates:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and or experience in a relevant field.
Working knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
Current Drivers Licence Class C.
