Core Talent have partnered with a Council to recruit for an experienced Senior Development Assessment Planner to join a dynamic local government team in a region undergoing significant growth and transformation. This role offers the chance to contribute to major town centre revitalisations, new residential developments, and innovative planning projects that will help shape thriving communities.

As a key part of the Development Assessment team, you will:

• Prepare and review assessment reports, ensuring high-quality planning outcomes
• Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative team culture
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve planning issues and provide expert advice
• Represent the team as a planning expert, helping drive key development initiatives

You will also play an active role in service transformation, working alongside senior leaders to enhance processes, drive positive change, and contribute to an innovative approach to planning and development.

Your Role Will Include:

• Leading complex development assessments and making key decisions
• Providing expert planning advice and mentoring junior planners
• Solving planning challenges and working closely with key stakeholders
• Driving service transformation and contributing to a strong planning culture
