Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.

The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

Our values drive our inclusive and collaborative culture where we provide meaningful help and financial support to communities with:
- practical information;
- referral to support services;
- the distribution and coordination of financial assistance through procurement and grants processing;
-developing and funding projects in disaster affected communities.

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and end-to-end management of contracts in line with established guidelines, policies, procedures and frameworks. You will support contract owners (i.e. funded organisations) to ensure contract compliance with reporting requirements and eligibility of expenditure as per funding guidelines. You will develop and maintain robust records in relation to contract delivery outcomes, responding to external administrative and financial queries where required. You will build strong partnerships with funded organisations and support them with their contract administration and accountability.

The ideal candidate will have previous contract management experience (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector), financial acumen and demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills. Succeeding in this role will require a high level of stakeholder engagement skills to manage ongoing relationships with funded organisations. You will have strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate contract non-compliance and inadequate reporting.

This is a fixed term temporary position commencing July 2025 with possibility for extension. Multiple positions available.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
