Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

In this role, you will closely support the Manager and lead a small multi-disciplinary team, allocating workloads, building capability and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The position provides strategic insights and support to senior leadership through market analysis, high level reporting, and offering technical expertise in Queensland Government procurement, commissioning, investment and grant delivery processes. It will oversee procurement assessment panels, ensuring high levels of probity and integrity. The position will be accountable for analysing and interpreting data to ensure compliance with funding and procurement guidelines. As a member of the LTRR leadership team, the position contributes to strategic business planning and drives continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and grant management processes.
The ideal candidate will combine financial acumen with experience in contract management, procurement and grant management processes. You will have well developed stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. You will use your exceptional written skills to develop procurement packages and grant documentation with strong governance practices. Your previous experience in leading teams in dynamic and fast paced environments will ensure that you can lead the Procurement and Grants Management team effectively through work priorities. Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Queensland Government legislation, policies, procedures, and frameworks as it relates to contract management, procurement and grants administration is desirable. Experience with procurement and grant management systems is desirable.
This is a fixed term full time position commencing July 2025 with possibility for extension.
