🚀 Second-in-Command Credit Analyst – Self-Employed & Complex Lending Specialist

No sales targets. No lead gen. Just high-level lending work, done right.

Are you an experienced Credit Analyst ready to step into a more influential, client-facing role — or a broker who enjoys the lending work but not the sales hustle — all while working 100% remotely?

We’re hiring a highly capable Credit Analyst / Lending Associate to join a high-performing Australian mortgage brokerage that specialises in self-employed clients, complex income structures, and high-volume lending. This is more than just a back-office role — you'll become the broker’s right hand, helping guide deals from initial needs analysis through to settlement, while also being a key point of contact for clients.

You’ll work directly alongside the business owner and play a central role in client engagement, credit structuring, and managing files end-to-end — supported by an experienced admin team who handle data entry, loan tracking, and post-submission updates. If you’ve built up the experience and confidence to operate independently, enjoy solving complex lending puzzles, and want a role where you’re trusted and relied upon — this is the one for you.

What you’ll be doing:

Act as the 2IC to the mortgage broker, with the autonomy to interact directly with clients and stakeholders

Respond to client queries via phone and email, providing high-quality service without the need for constant oversight

Conduct client needs analyses when required, particularly for self-employed and complex income clients

Research credit policy and lender options to structure deals and optimise client outcomes

Complete serviceability assessments and credit recommendations for the broker to review

Work alongside a dedicated support team who handle data entry and loan tracking, allowing you to focus on credit and client interactions

Ensure all compliance, documentation, and supporting information is accurate and complete

Collaborate with client managers and admin support to progress deals through to settlement

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 4 years' experience in the Australian mortgage industry

At least 2 years in a Broker, Credit Analyst or Lending Associate role, ideally in a high-volume or complex lending environment

Confident dealing with self-employed clients, business financials, and multi-entity income structures

Strong working knowledge of lender credit policies, servicing calculators, and structuring techniques

Exceptional written and verbal communication — you're comfortable speaking directly with clients

High attention to detail and ownership over your work

A positive, solutions-focused approach

Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking preferred

Able to work independently from home and manage your workload and deadlines effectively
