THE CLIENT
- An Australian-owned engineering company delivering end-to-end packaging and automation solutions across the food, beverage, and industrial sectors.

- They are currently in the market for a Sales Engineer that will help them grow their existing clients and win new business in Regional VIC.
THE ROLE
- Based in Regional VIC, you will be responsible for the following geographical territory - Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, and Echuca region up to the border of NSW - Albury, and Griffith.
- You will be autonomous, working from home, and on the road most of the time.
- Your main goal is to maintain and grow existing clients within the region. Your client base would encompass companies within the food and beverage manufacturing, dairy and industrial manufacturing space.
- Our client offers a bespoke industrial automation solution with a wide range of applications - packaging, labelling, marking/coding, materials handling etc…
- You will also be responsible for identifying and winning new opportunities within the area. A big growth market for them is within the government sector, specifically defence.
- You will be working alongside the National Sales Manager who will provide you ongoing product and market training.
YOU
- THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Technical aptitude (mechanical, automation, electronics or other related field) and sales experience.
- Ideally, you have sold a technical solution to the industrial manufacturing space - packaging equipment, robotics, automation, sensors, conveyor belts, material handling equipment, or other related technical products.
- If you lack sales experience but have a technical background (i.e., degree in mechanical engineering) and would like to transition to a sales role, we would like to also hear from you.
- In terms of soft skills - we are looking for someone with a positive attitude, solution sales approach and has a structured sales approach.
For the right candidate, our client is offering a competitive base + 20% commission + car + super + other tools of the trade.
