A new & exciting role, this position aims to further develop operational procedures for the site with a key focus on drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for plant-based tasks. The specialist candidate will work closely with the Head of Quality and Head of People as well as other internal stakeholders, mainly operational staff as required.

This role will suit a recent graduate with a mechanical engineering background or similar.

Key Area's of Accountability

Oversee the administrative tasks related to creating operational procedures.

Collaborate with operational staff to map out workflows for each job area.

Draft work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on these workflows including quality, safety and production functions.

Circulate drafted documents to internal stakeholders for their expertise and input.

Collect and incorporate feedback and necessary amendments from stakeholders.

A qualification in Food Science and HACCP qualifications is preferred, but is not essential as your proven technical document writing skills within manufacturing coupled with effective communication skills and your ability to build rapport with multiple stakeholders to obtain accurate and systematic plant information will ensure your success in the role.

While primarily working during standard business hours, the candidate may also occasionally need to work across other shifts, including night shift, so some flexibility is required.

Must be a 'go getter' and have a positive mindset, to make change without solutions focused approach.
