Carers Queensland’s nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) has been training and developing community service practitioners for more than 10 years. Unlike other RTOs, we focus specifically on the aged, community, disability, and health service sector. Our RTO is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join us as an RTO Training Lead. This role will lead the delivery of training and assessment services, is responsible for the program curriculum, and oversees the online environment.
About the role: RTO Training Lead
This role is vital in supporting the delivery of operational outcomes and achievement of key performance indicators, and quality in the provision of training and assessment services. They will ensure that Carers Queensland’s training programs, assessment activities and curriculum align with industry standards and contemporary best practice in adult education. No two days are the same, and this role will require organisational skills to set out delivery plans, however also be able to pivot when necessary. We provide education services across Queensland – some travel will be involved in this role.
Key Duties:
- Providing leadership and direction to the Training and Assessment team
- Responsibility for the planning, reviewing and improvement of all training and assessment materials and curriculums
- Develop and maintain industry stakeholder networks and facilitate quarterly engagement events
- Ensure overall compliance of the trainers to meet relevant legislation and standards, and provide reports as necessary to the RTO Manager
- Work within the Workplace Health and Safety accountabilities as part of the WHS Act 2011
- Adhere to and meet KPIs ; goals, measures and timeframes will be agreed in the Annual Performance Review process
- Able to undertake training and assessment activities as and when needed by the business.
About You:
- Minimum 5+ years’ effective experience working within the VET sector managing training teams with a high level of student completion
- Demonstrated leadership of training requirements for students in the community service and individual support, or other related studies
- High level of communication skills, commitment to implementing continuous quality improvement processes, and comfortability with problem solving and decision-making
- Holds a current TAE40116 or equivalent
- Experience in using learning management systems (aXcelerate highly desirable but not essential).
