Nautical Supplies is a industry leading supplier of Marine Goods and Services, with branches in Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane and Perth.

Established in 1978, we stock a diverse range of goods ranging from traditional Chandlery items to specialised Safety equipment, hardware and Electronics. We provide support to all sectors of the marine Industry including Leisure, Shipping, Pearling, Fishing, Defence, oil & Gas.

The Ideal Candidate will have

A passion for boating! We want to hear about your boating experience in your cover letter.

Previous marine products sales experience.

Experience/knowledge of marine industry and boating products.

Organisational, time management, verbal/written skills and attention to detail.

Mature mindset and strong work ethic.

Able to work unsupervised and take initiative.

Drivers License

Competent in MS Office (word/excel/outlook).

Some of Your Responsibilities

Supporting our products and services to retail and trade customers at our Portsmith branch in the heart of the Cairns Marine Industry Precinct.

Preparing quotations, invoicing, responding to customer enquiries and processing of orders.

Qualifications

Preferably Marine Sales or other relevant industry experience. Previous technical role or spare parts interpretation is desired. Computer skills including email, MYOB or other inventory software experience. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Training

On the job training and team support is provided. Key suppliers also provide product training opportunities.

Hours and benefits

Our store will be open Monday to Friday from 0730-1600hrs.

After successful completion of 3 month probation Nautical Supplies offers an additional 10 paid Well Being Days a year, to be taken between February and November, at a rate of one per month and at an agreed time with your manager.
