Your new role
As an EL1 Policy Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex policy initiatives. You will provide high-level policy advice to senior executives and stakeholders, manage a team of policy officers, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, industry groups, and the community. Your role will involve conducting thorough research and analysis to inform policy decisions and preparing detailed reports, briefs, and submissions for senior management and government ministers.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in policy development and implementation within the public sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• A thorough understanding of the APS framework and government processes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in public policy, law, economics, or a related field.

You must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2)
