Are you ready to make a real impact on the future of technology in government? We’re seeking two Solution Architects to join a transformative, multi-year program that’s modernising and securing the department’s technology infrastructure, applications, and service delivery.

With multiple projects running across various workstreams, the program will refresh systems, improve service resilience, and enhance development and deployment capabilities.

From cloud transformation to security upgrades and system integration, this program is all about building a smarter, safer, and more resilient digital future.

Key Duties:

• Design and deliver enterprise solutions aligned with business goals and IT strategy.
• Lead legacy app modernisation, including migration and decommissioning.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with automation, security, and QA best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks (e.g., Essential 8, SSP) and governance standards.
• Advise on cloud strategies, SaaS adoption, and cloud transitions.
• Define solution requirements, assess trade-offs, and manage risks collaboratively.
• Align technology roadmaps with organisational objectives.
• Contribute to architectural reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in and knowledge of:

• Solution Architecture or similar role.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or hybrid) and application migration strategies.
• DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, quality assurance, and security integration.
• Package management, software lifecycle processes, and deployment methodologies; setting up and configuring JFrog Artifactory.
• IWS development, ensuring seamless integration within enterprise architectures.
• Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe Agile, Systems Engineering Lifecycle).
• Security and compliance requirements, including failover capability and Essential 8 controls.
• Ability to assess and document technical requirements, risks, and solution trade-offs for informed decision-making.
