About the role
To be located in either Newcastle or Lower Hunter
Day to Day supervision of Disability support workers to ensure that homes are clean, well maintained and nutritious meals are provided.
Planning, Directing and Supporting Community Access, Activity plans and monitor outcomes.
Providing direct support to participants and working as a mentor with new staff where required.
Planning and implementing strategies based on individual needs and behaviours
Ensuring the smooth operations of Supported Independent Living Homes and Teams
Provide on call support to teams where required.
Developing and Implementing Day to Day Activity and Support Planning.
Ability to liaise with the Team to create a functional operating system
Incident reporting and NDIS Compliance.
Weekly dedicated Admin Hours
RPA compliance and monitoring.
Preparing and Providing reports to relevant internal and/or external stakeholders as required.
Monday- Friday Role
Experienced working with people with disabilities to deliver high-quality care, making a difference to people's lives.
You have experience managing a team for a Community Services Provider.
You have an in depth understanding of the NDIS, NIIS or CHSP and the underlying frameworks.

Skills and experience
Experience managing a team of Support Workers and participants requiring Behavioural Support
Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the capacity to prepare reports and correspondence in clear and concise language
Ability to deliver set outcomes in strict deadlines
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and service providers
The ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as a member of a team
Knowledge in the use of computer programs and can enter, modify and extract data accurately
Knowledge of the NDIS Act, Disability Act and other relevant legislation
NDIS Worker’s Check or the ability to quickly attain them
A minimum Certificate 4 in Individual Support or any other industry related courses.
Two years’ Experience in managing a Team in care services and challenging behaviours
Experience with PBSP's and Restrictive Practices
