About the role

Hanok Korean BBQ is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our vibrant team in our restaurant located in Sydney/ Wollongong/ Canberra. As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of authentic Korean dishes to delight our customers. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a wide variety of Korean dishes, including barbecue meats cutting, stews, and traditional side dishes

Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes

Assisting in the training and supervision of kitchen staff to uphold our high standards of food preparation

Ordering and managing kitchen supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in a Korean or Asian cuisine restaurant

Strong knowledge of Korean culinary techniques and flavours

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the development of new menu items

Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen that adheres to all health and safety regulations

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
