Novotel Surfers Paradise is conveniently located in the heart of Surfers Paradise and our beautiful iconic beaches. The hotel features 408 rooms, along with a variety of dining options including: Restaurant, in-room dining, pool bar and Blvd Café and Bar. We offer a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere, providing genuine hospitality for our guests. For our guests wanting to unwind we offer a heated outdoor swimming pool & spa, tennis courts and gym. For our conferencing & events guests we have 6 modern function rooms available, accommodating up to 500 delegates.
We are looking for highly motivated experienced individuals to join our team and create unforgettable guest experience. We have a casual position available and we are looking for someone with unrestricted availability. If you are an experienced friendly Front Office professional with Opera Cloud experience and are looking for an opportunity to take your passion and knowledge to the next level, we would like to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Always lending a helping hand with a smile, ensure our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
You are able to multi-task, assist as a porter, on reception or in reservations as required.
Provide quality service to guests by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously throughout their stay.
Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality/privacy.
Handling all calls promptly and professionally, greeting all callers according to Novotel Surfers Paradise policy.

What we are looking for:
Previous experience using OPERA Cloud, checking in and out guests in a 200+ Hotel
A driven problem solver with a creative approach to delivering the ultimate guest experience
The ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and think on your feet to resolve issues & guest complaints is essential
Proven strong Microsoft office skills and clear communication
Committed to driving Loyalty (ALL Livelimitless) and memorable guest experiences
A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work a flexible rotating 7-day roster including week-ends and public holidays.
A flexible and adaptable approach to be able to respond to a variety of different work situations
Strong communication skills.
Passion for customer service.
Excellent grooming and presentation standards.
Strong team player with a “can-do” attitude.
Previous experience in a 200+ room Hotel. 12mths + experience in front office reception.
Opera cloud experience is looked highly upon
Must have current Australian work rights.
