Trusted by high-net-worth private and institutional investors, our client currently manages 10 properties across Melbourne and Brisbane, with a total portfolio value of $350 million.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, this permanent and hands-on position oversees the end-to-end financial management of approximately 25 companies and trusts. This is your chance to work closely with decision-makers and play a key role in the company’s continued success.

Key responsibilities include:

Full-spectrum financial management: AR, AP, month-end, year-end, BAS, budgeting, and forecasting.

Assisting the CFO with strategic tasks, including:

Managing investor and lender relationships.

Supporting acquisitions, divestments and debt facility negotiations.

Financial risk management.

AFSL compliance.

Liaising with various external parties including tax and legal advisors.

About You

You're a motivated and self-sufficient professional with strong commercial acumen, who thrives in a dynamic environment. You may have worked for 2-3 years in a chartered accounting firm with funds management or real estate client experience and have started or be about to start your CA/CPA.

You’ll have:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

At least 2-3 years' experience ideally in a chartered accounting firm or real estate/funds management business.

Hands-on expertise in AR, AP, banking, general ledger, BAS preparation, and budgeting/forecasting.

Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.

Outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude.

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs without micro-management.

A passion for continuous improvement and a keen interest in commercial real estate or funds management.
