Protech Rockhampton are seeking TWO QUALIFIED Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technicians or Mechanical Fitters or similar for an IMMEDIATE start based in Rockhampton.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
Must show evidence of completion of either;

• Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.

OR.....

• Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.

MUST HAVE ALL OF THE BELOW

• Construction White Card
• Must have C Class Driver’s Licence and ability to undertake MR Driver’s Licence, you must be able to drive client company vehicles. (if you acquire the MR licence this would be an advantage).
• Must be residing locally in Rockhampton and/or surrounding areas.

BRIEF ROLE DUTIES

• Undertake mechanical maintenance activities in both the workshop and field environment
• Diagnose, repair and report faults and conditions of modern fleet of truck, trailers, earthmoving equipment and auxiliary equipment.
• Follow high level safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

FURTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE JOB

• Rockhampton Central based location
• Participation in an after-hours call out roster as required
• Periodically work a weekend roster or other roster to undertake workshop or field service activities
• You may be required to travel to other service locations to undertake workshop or field service activities for varying periods of time
• Casual position but the work is usually provided as a 9 day fortnight roster
