About the role

At Ball Accounting Pty Ltd, we are seeking a driven and ambitious graduate or junior accountant to join our growing team in our North Sydney office. This is a full-time position that will see you work closely with senior accounting professionals to provide high-quality taxation services to our diverse client base, including individual, trust, partnership, company and SMSF. With ongoing training and support, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with tax compliance including preparation of tax returns and financial statements BAS/IAS, GST and FBT

Managing correspondence with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

Conducting tax planning and research to optimise client tax positions

Assisting with tax advisory work

Collaborating with the wider accounting team to deliver exceptional client service

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and best practices

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce or a related field

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Be looking to commence, or currently studying, your CA/CPA qualification

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A keen interest in taxation and a desire to develop expertise in this area

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with accounting software and tax preparation tools (preferable)
