About the role

As the successful candidate, the Intermediate Accountant will work full-time in our newly refurbished, modern office.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist clients with compliance and taxation affairs
• Support clients with their business needs
• Perform bookkeeping tasks, including BAS and tax returns
• Maintain professional standards and technical knowledge
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and management

About you

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

• Full Australian working rights essential (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (recognized in Australia)
• Minimum two years of post-qualifying Australian tax accounting experience
• Proven experience preparing financial accounts, income tax returns, and BAS for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and SMSFs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, MYOB, and Xero (Handisoft experience is advantageous)
• Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional relationships
• Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills essential
