The Role
A State Government Agency is seeking a Senior Finance Officer - Tax for a contract role until the end of September 2025. You will be responsible for completing and lodging Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Business Activity Statements (BAS), and payroll tax returns, as well as providing technical taxation advice to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and lodge FBT, BAS, payroll tax, and TPAR returns.
- Provide technical tax advice (GST, FBT) to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain taxation documentation, processes, and compliance policies.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts to operations.
About You
- Degree qualified in finance, accounting, or commerce.
- Member of CPA, CA or equivalent professional body.
- Solid understanding of GST and FBT rules and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain tax matters clearly.
