Sales & Account Manager – Outdoor/ Camping/Adventure Industry

Sydney based (Lower North Shore Location)

We are a leading distribution company with offices located in Melbourne & Sydney specialising in the importing and distribution of drones and other technology products to consumer and enterprise markets within Australia. An opportunity exists in our Sydney office, for an experienced Consumer Sales & Account Manager to win new accounts and leverage existing relationships to sell-in to our extensive dealer network with some of our world leading Tech brands, some of which we exclusively and solely distribute for the entire Australia market.

The highly skilled and motivated sales manager will be responsible for new business development and account management for existing dealers. The person will maintain, promote and train the stores sales reps on existing and new products.

You will also be working closely with our other sales colleagues and our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have some basic technical product knowledge experience, and have exposure to retail channels such as Camera House, Digi Direct etc coupled with excellent communication, sales and account management skills.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Get to know our products, our goals, and our point of difference, and help us communicate the ways we can help clients improve their business.

Work with our engineering team to understand all aspects of outdoor tech products including action cameras, portable energy solutions and other recreational/educational products such as Drones.

End to end sales cycle execution including planning, cold calling, qualifying, obtaining and closing new business opportunities.

Clearly and effectively communicate our suite of consumer/retail products to demonstrate the value proposition.

Manage your database and develop a call and nurture cycle in our CRM system.

Work directly with our operations team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

Establish and build long-term business relationships with existing and new clients

Travel requirements:

Business travels is required for this role which may include but not limited to existing and new dealer visits, attendance at certain trade shows or events for business development, perform training to store staff and other EE Group conducted events and/or roadshows as required.

Intrastate travels (referring to the state of which you reside in)

Interstate travel expenses will be reimbursed (these include other states or territories within Australia).

Sometimes these travels may require you during or outside business hours onsite or offsite.

Sales Experience Required:

Minimum 4-year sales experience in a sales role with track record of achieving sales targets.

Experienced in tangible products ideally from camping/outdoor/adventure/recreational or camera equipment sales.

Exposure selling into large retailers (such as Camera House and Digi Direct) and/or small dealer outlets.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple priorities, clients and projects simultaneously.

Other Requirements:

Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Punctual but flexible as required by the organisation.

Customer centric and ability to build relationships internally & externally.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise to customers.

Must have own car & a valid Driver’s license is required.

Whilst the specific type of product sales is not essential, however your willingness to learn and a passion for tech products is imperative.
