Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services unit as an Audio Visual (AV) Support Officer on a full-time, ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Services, the role is responsible for providing technical support during public examinations and to provide audio visual assistance and support to internal and external clients with the use and operation of audio-visual conferencing equipment in client spaces for virtual private examinations, video conferences, events and meetings.
Duties include:
- Providing excellent customer service and technical support to internal and external clients in video conferencing, interviews, virtual private and public examinations
- Supporting the virtual examination video conferencing technology as well as assisting with the maintenance of virtual examination equipment and environment.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of issues relating to AV systems are they arise, escalating matters to the Senior Audio-Visual Officer where applicable.
- Reviewing and analysing video conferencing activities and making recommendations on improvements.
- Providing 1st and 2nd level telephone and remote support for virtual conferences, events and meetings.
- Assisting and supporting the Digital Services team by managing IT service request tickets.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of relevant system documentation and training material.

Please note: Work flexible hours where required as set by the Business Unit to support customer service, virtual examinations or meetings as required outside of business hours.
Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Setting up and managing vision systems with multiple sources and outputs;
- Setting up and operating vision switching equipment and software, such as vMix;
- Setting up, managing and operating PTZ cameras;
- Knowledge of NDI (Network Device Interface) software standard for use in a live production environment;
- Setting up and operating audio systems with multiple inputs and outputs.
- A demonstrated understanding and proficiency in the following tasks:
- Experience supporting video conferencing infrastructure and AV equipment.
- Sound understanding of networking and internet telecommunications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to working effectively autonomously and as part of a team.
- A tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in Information Technology and/or Corporate Event Production is essential.
- Specific Audio Visual Technician experience in corporate events is preferred.
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
