Your next career opportunity
As an Academic Support Officer at the Melbourne Veterinary School, you'll have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of veterinary academic programs. You'll provide high-quality administrative support, coordinate essential academic functions, and serve as a key interface between students, staff, and the school. Based at the Werribee campus, you'll work closely with diverse teams to ensure smooth operations and enhance the student experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate Academic Administration: Manage subject administration, timetabling, examinations, and results processing.
  • Support Student Services: Facilitate student engagement activities, provide pastoral care support, and assist with complex queries.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: Contribute to improving academic services delivery and support committee functions.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work with various university units to deliver seamless services and support international accreditation requirements.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a dedicated professional with a degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, possessing excellent administrative skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic academic environment.

You may also:

  • Have experience in higher education student administrative support.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Suite and adaptable to university-specific systems.
  • Have experience in committee support and event management.
