Our client is a fully owned subsidiary of a European based manufacturer of packaging machinery servicing the food, pharmaceutical, medical, automotive and household goods industries.

At this time we are looking for an experienced Technician to trouble shoot and service packaging machines such as flow wrappers, VFFS machines, Thermoformers, tray sealers, shrink and stretch machines, and end of line solutions etc throughout Sydney and Country NSW

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Installation of new projects.
• Trouble shooting existing installations in the field.
• Conducting regular preventative maintenance and scheduled services as required.
• Assisting the sales team with demonstrations.
• Customer training.

Ideally the successful applicant will be experienced in a comparable role or has worked with similar equipment as a maintenance fitter/electrician in a manufacturing environment.
However it will be your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes that will be most highly regarded.

• Competency in troubleshooting and repairing technical machinery.
• Strong analytical skills.
• An affinity with and understanding of, the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines.
• Strong computer skills.
• An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service.
• A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
• Be a proactive self starter who builds strong client relationships and has a strong empathy with their needs.
• Strong mechanical skills plus an electrical disconnect / reconnect (or ability to obtain) is essential
