Field Service Engineer – Medical Imaging Systems

Are you a technically minded engineer with a passion for medical technology and hands-on service delivery? A leading Australian provider of specialist imaging systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its high-performing team, based anywhere in Queensland.

This is a work-from-home role that involves regular travel across the state, supporting a wide range of hospital and clinical settings. You’ll be part of a nationally respected team with a reputation for excellence in the service and support of Mobile C-Arm imaging systems.

About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and supporting Mobile C-Arm systems used in surgical and diagnostic environments. Reporting remotely to the Brisbane-based Service Manager, you’ll work directly with hospitals, theatre staff, and biomedical teams, providing expert technical support when and where it matters most.

The role includes regular travel throughout Queensland and occasional interstate travel and opportunities for overseas product training.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain Mobile C-Arm imaging systems in clinical and surgical settings
• Liaise with Surgeons, Radiologists, Theatre Managers, Biomedical Engineers, and hospital staff
• Conduct electronic and software fault-finding and technical diagnostics
• Maintain detailed service reports and documentation
• Travel regularly throughout Queensland, with occasional interstate travel
• Participate in product training, including international travel as required
• Operate independently from a home base, while being part of a supportive national team

What We’re Looking For

• Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualifications (or similar)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical or field service role
• Experience in the medical device industry and working with software-to-hardware systems
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software
• High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach
• Ability to work autonomously and travel regularly
• Current QLD Driver’s Licence and full working rights in Australia
• EPA licence/s preferred
• Experience with Medical X-Ray Imaging highly regarded, though full training will be provided
