A Top 100 Accounting & Advisory firm in Melbourne CBD, Lombardi Partners are more than just tax accountants; we are trusted advisors to many SME businesses and complex family structures, providing strategic account planning advice and niche industry guidance, to ensure continued growth and success for our clients.

We currently have a full opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work in a highly collaborative and supportive team.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills/experience:

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Australian Public Practice

Proficiency in both Xero (essential) & MYOB (preferred)

Payroll experience (preferred)

CA/CPA or nearing completion of CA/CPA qualification

Experience with Australian tax incl Div7a, CGT, FBT, compliance

Experience preparing financial statements

Experience working with large groups of entities

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Support the Managers and Senior Accountants

Manage your own list of clients, including client and stakeholder management

Business advisory (relative to your client list)

Delegate and review work of juniors in the team

Developing your own management skills - oversight and training of graduates

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail

Have an aptitude for IT at an intermediate level

High level of computerised accounting skills

Ability to work under pressure and organise priorities to meet deadlines

High level of initiative and enthusiasm, a real self-starter

Ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders

High level of competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint

Strong customer service ethos
