Position Available:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your role will be essential in supporting the financial health of the restaurant.

Responsibilities:

Familiarity with restaurant financial operations, including managing invoices, balancing accounts, and tracking expenses.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) and the ability to analyze financial data using ledgers and reports.

Strong understanding of business tax entitlements, including GST, payroll tax, and superannuation payments.

Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and expenditure reports to support business decision-making.

Ability to verify recorded transactions, identify irregularities, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Knowledge of government reporting requirements, including Business Activity Statements (BAS), tax file numbers, and superannuation contributions.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of reverent experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

Proficiency in accounting software

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records and reporting

Knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and BAS reporting

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle restaurant finances efficiently

Excellent organizational and communication skills
