Woods & Co has partnered with a growing and well-respected Melbourne-based law firm seeking a driven and commercially minded Senior Lawyer to join their tight-knit team.

This firm works across a broad range of matters, with this role focused on litigation, dispute resolution, and general commercial matters. You’ll work alongside an experienced Principal, provide mentorship, and play a strategic role in the ongoing growth of the practice. What you’ll be doing:

• Manage a broad caseload of litigation and dispute resolution matters
• Draft legal documentation including pleadings, affidavits, and submissions
• Represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations
• Provide strategic legal advice and risk management support
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to a high-performance culture
• Support the firm's growth through business development efforts

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years’ post-admission experience in litigation and commercial law
• Mandarin language skills (preferred but not essential)
• Strong client communication and courtroom confidence
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive approach and collaborative mindset
