Join our dynamic and growing team at Compact Home Lifts, a leading organisation in the home lift industry. We are seeking a talented Finance Manager to lead our finance team and drive strategic financial decisions.
Position OverviewX
Working full time from our office in Collingwood (also an option to work out of our Sydney office) and reporting directly to the COO, you will serve as a key business partner to management, providing strategic financial insights and leadership over all financial operations.
Responsibilities include:
Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Management, training and development of the finance team.
Prepare weekly sales and operations reports to the management team.
Facilitate tax compliance requirements, including FBT, GST, BAS, PAYG and payroll tax.
Monthly preparation and review of sales commissions.
Processing of progress claim invoices.
Prepare monthly financial management reports, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
Monitor and analyse financial metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimisation.
Use financial targets and models to drive decisions, performance, and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Review of job costings and reporting in our job management system.
Dealing with customer queries
Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
CPA/CA qualified.
Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing financial operations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Proficient in the use of financial software (ideally Xero) and spreadsheet applications.
Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to delivering continuous improvement for the role and business.
A self-starter with the ability to work proactively and autonomously.
Deadline driven with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
