About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Buyer to join our dynamic and growing team. You'll play a crucial role in sourcing, selecting, and managing stock while collaborating closely with marketing and sales teams to enhance our market presence. This position is ideal for someone highly reliable, proactive, and passionate about retail and consumer products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate potential suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms.

• Monitor inventory levels, pricing, and lead times using relevant software and systems.

• Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships; attend trade shows and industry events.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective promotional campaigns.

• Ensure product quality and compliance with industry regulations.

• Prepare detailed purchasing reports and supplier performance reviews for management.

• Monitor sales data, market trends, and competitor analysis to make informed purchasing decisions.

• Negotiate favourable purchase, promotion, and supply agreements.

• Design and implement pricing, marketing, and promotional strategies.

• Liaise closely with management to support long-term planning and strategic initiatives.

• Plan and adapt purchasing strategies according to seasonal trends and budget constraints.

• Anticipate and respond proactively to consumer trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in a similar retail buying role.

• Relevant qualification (Certificate IV or higher preferred).

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Experience using inventory management software advantageous.
