Artisans of Barossa
Posted 10 days ago
Your opportunity: Make your mark in the Barossa by leading the most diverse wine room in the region to new heights.
You'll supervise a wine room to achieve the goals of seven independent, small-batch winemakers, with 30 wines on pour every day, covering 20+ varieties and all sub-regions of the Barossa and Eden Valleys.
Artisans of Barossa is looking for an experienced wine salesperson, a leader, and a storyteller to:
Host Wine Tastings Experiences, and development of new experiences
Rezdy maintenance
Lightspeed Retail X maintenance
eCommerce (Shopify) fulfilment
Inbound wine ordering
Inventory management via Lightspeed & Cartoncloud
What’s in it for you?
Fair pay
An employment contract is given to every staff member
A generous wine allowance across all seven small-batch wineries
Generous sales incentives
Weighty staff discounts on our wine
The role is diverse and exciting ~ you can be pouring some of the rarest wines of the region made, fulfilling a successful EDM campaign, arranging back vintage and new release wines into the wine program, assisting the wine and food matching program, or connecting with long term wine club members.
Every Saturday, we have a winemaker working alongside us, pouring, storytelling and on the team with you. Sometimes, Sunday too`!
There is no more exciting place to work in the Barossa right now than Artisans of Barossa.
Why? There is no better place to be totally immersed in Barossa culture and wine.
If you’re a subject matter expert on Shiraz, let's expand your Barossa mindset with our emerging varietals list ~ Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussane, Marsanne, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Graciano, Kerner … and more. Then, get your hands on our special project wines: Our ‘Grenache Project’ is peak wine geek – eight winemakers, one tonne of fruit each, same vineyard. And the vineyard has changed every year since its launch in 2017. Our ‘Six Origins’ Shiraz walks a different path, six single-vineyard Shiraz, from six different sub-regions of Barossa and Eden Valleys.
This is your chance to lead the Wine Room team at one of Barossa’s most exhilarating venues.
We are in the heart of the Barossa Valley, with stunning views across the Valley to the Barossa Ranges.
Essen by Artisans of Barossa presents a contemporary, innovative interpretation of seasonal Barossa food with an à la carte menu with recommended wine matches.
The Wine Room allows visitors to discover a breadth and depth of Barossa wine expression that cannot be found anywhere else.
Events for corporates, private dining and celebrations are an integral part of our offer. We currently do not offer wedding ceremony packages.
The Artisans of Barossa are John Duval Wines, Spinifex Wines, Sons of Eden, Lienert Vineyards, Schwarz Wine Co., Hobbs of Barossa Ranges and Chaffey Bros. Wine Co.
To be an ‘artisan’ is very much about setting your own path driven by a human desire to explore, experiment and to express ourselves. To create and share things shaped in our mind and made by our own hands for the enjoyment of others. Often proffered with a simple “I made this, please enjoy”. A tinge of pride yes, but hubris never.
We look forward to receiving your application and our Operations Venue Manager, Casey, will be in touch. 🙂
