About the Role

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager, you’ll be their go-to support—working closely together and stepping up when they’re away to keep things running smoothly for the team and our guests.

As Cellar Door Lead, you’ll help run the show day-to-day—setting the tone on shift, supporting our Tasting Hosts & Kitchen Support team, ensuring every guest walks away wowed. You’ll be the go-to when the Cellar Door Manager is off, and the right-hand support when they’re on. You’ll bring energy, attention to detail, proactive planning, a love of people (and wine!), and a solutions-focused approach to the role.

As a permanent part time employee, you’ll work approximately 30 hours per week across 4 consecutive days and enjoy every 4th weekend off—because work-life balance is a good time.

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

Welcoming guests and leading engaging tastings that are personal, fun, memorable and story-filled

Supporting the team and leading from the front—encouraging, supporting, leading, and keeping energy high

Making sure the space looks sharp and runs smoothly (checklists, spot checks, deep clean schedules, opens/closes, cash-ups, the works)

Driving club joins and sales with authenticity and ease - no pushy vibes just great connections + great wine = great outcomes

Collaborating with the Cellar Door Manager on rosters, stock, team training, operational standards, guest feedback etc

Bringing your best to events (onsite & offsite), hosting private groups, and attending Famils as needed

Keeping the wheels turning—stock control, admin, cleaning, reports, compliance, operations…you’ll be the glue that keep things together

About You

You’ve worked in a premium hospitality setting or Cellar Door before and know how to lead an engaged team on the floor

You’re results oriented, and are great at working with and through others to achieve team and individual outcomes

You’re all about creating moments that matter—for guests and team

You’re aligned with our values, bringing them to life in daily actions

You can see the experience through guests' eyes, and confidently organise and run an effective front & back of house service operation

You genuinely love people – talking to them, listening, reading the room, making them feel special, going further to create raving fans

You’re as happy leading a busy shift as you are rolling up your sleeves behind the scenes to get things done

You’re calm under pressure and quick on your feet

You know your way around wine (or are ready to nerd out on it fast)

You’ve got an RSA and can/will step into a Responsible Person role

Nice to Have (but not a deal-breaker):

Wine industry experience

Stock control or ordering know-how, general spreadsheet experience

McLaren Vale or tourism exposure

Current First Aid certification
