Our client is a highly regarded Australian manufacturer of highly engineered equipment. From its two state of the art manufacturing sites in Victoria, it delivers solutions to a wide variety of industries and customers around the world.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director and engaging closely with the General Managers and divisional leaders across the business, the Marketing Communications Manager will be the primary resource for executing the Company’s marketing and communication strategies, driving brand awareness, and engaging key stakeholders. This role’s primary mandate is to lift the level of professionalism regarding the quality and presentation of content both internally and externally.
The primary focus of the role will be to:
Enhance the Company’s profile (quality over quantity);
Contribute to the evolution of the Company’s brand and marketing strategy;
Enhance the Company’s marketing material and brand collateral (including Company profiles and presentations, website and social media presence);
Extract information and milestones from leaders within the Company;
Develop and manage external communications, including social media (website, LinkedIn, Facebook, plus others);
Actively support internal communications / collateral / events (driven by People & Culture teams);
Manage external publications, conferences, tradeshows and events;
Support customer / stakeholder visits and events;
Support external brand positioning to attract talent;
Manage external vendors to support all marketing and communication activities; and
Manage ad-hoc project work.
The Candidate
Suitable candidates will demonstrate a high level of maturity and experience in their ability to establish and mange relationships with key stakeholders in the business. You will be a self-starter, who demonstrates initiative, presents solutions not problems and requires minimal management and oversite by the Managing Director. A passion for Australian made, technical product and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and be ‘hands-on’ is critical. The successful candidate will have advanced writing capability and demonstrate the ability to draft content on behalf of stakeholders throughout the business.
Essential:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 – 10 years of experience in marketing and communications roles, with a proven track record in media management, social media strategy, and event planning.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
Knowledge of CMS platforms (such as WordPress, SEM and SEO).
Experience with the preparation of promotional literature.
Well Regarded:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
Experience and/or knowledge of the Energy Sector.
Experience in marketing Engineered Products and / or Service industry.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Project management skills.
