About the role
We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Operations Manager who will set the direction for the marketing and communications function to build the brand and drive profitable growth. Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, this role supports the organisation's business objectives by leveraging the capabilities of all business units, the dealer network, and Caterpillar. Leading a skilled team, the manager will deliver high quality work focused on financial performance and ROI-driven investments.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prioritise safety and wellbeing, first and always
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, personal growth and development
  • Develop and execute the annual marketing and communications plan and calendar, meeting the agreed timeframes and budgetary considerations. Includes outlining go-to-market plans, lead generation, nurture and brand building, public relations and external partnership programs to meet agreed targets across relevant marketing funnels and tactics
  • Oversee brand management across the company to build distinctive, differentiated, and memorable codes, associations, and perceptions
  • Design marketing and communications frameworks, policies, procedures, and guidelines to support strategic initiatives, deliver tactical solutions, and drive continuous improvement projects
  • Develop and implement brand messaging hierarchy based on the organisation's strategy to ensure relevant messages across all executions and channels
  • Identify, track, analyse and report data, key trends and insights to ensure the marketing and communications function is creating a strong return on investment for the company
  • Proactively manage third-party providers (e.g. creative agencies and technology partners) to drive exceptional value for money and results.
  • Manage the martech stack to streamline work and create digital capabilities and automation where possible.
  • Support the development and execution of the Enterprise Wide Customer Roadmap and Strategy through targeted marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of the Caterpillar Marketing Sales Excellence Program (MSEP)
  • Travel as necessary
  • Any other work as required by the Head of Customer Experience

About You

  • Around 10 years experience in a marketing or communications related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Experience building and delivering complex marketing programs and reporting on the results.
  • Exposure to digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with the ability to balance creative thinking and commercial outcomes
  • An affinity for a metrics-driven, results-driven approach - knows what good looks like
  • Proactive time management skills, including prioritising workloads for self and staff
  • Balance the need for creativity and innovation with strong commercial outcomes.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to Customer Experience (CX) philosophies
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, work with deliver value to the key stakeholders, both external and internal
  • Familiar with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in \ marketing, advertising, web design, public relations, etc.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and leading a team of high performing professionals
