A well-established institution in the higher education sector is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join its high-performing transactional services team. With a strong commitment to operational excellence, compliance, and innovation, this role plays a critical part in managing financial transactions and delivering service excellence to internal stakeholders.

Role Highlights:
• Manage day-to-day financial transactions with precision and adherence to accounting standards.
• Support internal stakeholders by providing timely, professional financial guidance and service.
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors to maintain data integrity and deliver accurate reporting.
• Participate in process evaluation and identify opportunities for streamlining.
• Uphold compliance and contribute to risk management initiatives within the finance function.
• $60+ Super per hour, 6-12 months, Hybrid 2 days in office Wednesday & Thursday

What You'll Bring:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of financial policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
• Experience interpreting and applying complex financial procedures in a structured environment.
• Month end processes – using excel, PeopleSoft and ideally smartview
• A commitment to continuous improvement, service excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to a culture of accountability and safety.
