This is a unique opportunity for an Accountant to join an established SMSF team in a remote capacity. My client is a part of a global network of accounting firms, with 50+ offices across the country (regional areas + capital cities). This role will involve supporting one of their best SMSF teams on the east coast to develop tailored strategies to meet client's financial goals, coordinate comprehensive SMSF services and ensure legislative compliance.

The firm has a strong track record in providing remote/flexible working arrangements for their team, having done so long before Covid. They have excellent systems and processes in place to set their team up for success when working from home and have various remote teams across the business (in SMSF and other service lines), meaning you will have plenty of support from an administration, IT & managerial perspective.

You will have key responsibilities, including:

Assisting in SMSF tax return preparation, SMSF financial statement creation and reconciliations

Handling compliance and administrative tasks, including client record maintenance and data entry

Preparing and reviewing reports including time-sheets, client service agreements, and invoicing

Contributing to strategy implementation for clients, learning ATO registrations, and preparing meeting minutes and resolutions

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 1 year specialised SMSF accounting experience and be proficient in MS Office suite. Familiarity with Class Super is highly advantageous. You will also possess a strong ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks efficiently.
