INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - SMSF Specialist with BGL software

An excellent opportunity for an Intermediate to Senior Accountant with SMSF speciality has become available at our fast paced, Chartered Accounting firm, located in the St George area, just minutes from train and bus stations.

As a part of our circa 10-person team, the role will give you the opportunity to prepare Business Activity Statements, Income Tax Returns, FBT Returns, TPAR and much more, all while reporting directly to the principal, whilst also expanding on your already extensive SMSF experience with BGL software, and dealing with external auditors autonomously.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position and be studying towards or completed your CA/CPA qualification. Additional training, development and career progression opportunities are available for the right candidate.

You should also have sound working knowledge of BGL, MYOB, Xero and Excel, experience with Sage Handi-soft suite of programs, is advantageous.

Please note that this role is only available for individuals with permanent Residency and proficient English skills, due to the nature of the role and the parties being dealt with on a daily basis. Applicants will be expected to work independently under the guidance of the principal and will be directly accountable to them. Furthermore, ability and experience in dealing with SMSF auditors is a must with a solid understanding of the SIS legislation and Superannuation rules.
