Launch Recruitment are exclusively supporting a global payments organisation, on the lookout for an IT Operations Lead to join on a permanent basis. The role will be focused on contributing to the technical operations of electronic payment solutions, leading a team of 5 Engineers, enabling their development and the continuous improvement and analysis of systems.

Responsibilities include -

• Determining requirements for new projects, defining work schedules for the team and delegating appropriately
• Drafting progress reports and presenting findings to relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Identify risks in as the projects are in a run phase and develop emergency plans
• Ensure the provision of technical support to users (2nd and 3rd levels)
• Contribute to technical documentation and its updating
• Implement effective KPIs to monitor performance and efficiency

Required experience -

• Previous experience leading a technical team in a corporate setting
• Strong AWS Cloud experience to build and deploy solutions
• Proficient experience with Unix Server to assist with troubleshooting, IT support and Scripting (Shell/Bash)
• Familiarity with DevOps technologies Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong communication skills with a willing attitude to learn and adapt as the team grows and projects differ.
